We empower women to be agents of positive change

Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR)

In Women Rise for Change (WRC) we promote Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) by empowering women and girls especially in refugee and rural communities to make informed decisions about their bodies.

WRC implements a holistic SRHR program that combines mass awareness campaigns, peer education, community dialogues, and mobile outreach services to break stigma, increase knowledge, and improve access to reproductive health services, including family planning, menstrual hygiene, and prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Our approach emphasizes inclusive, rights-based education and community mobilization to ensure that even the most marginalized women and girls can exercise their SRHR freely and safely.

Our Initiatives:

  1. Teen Pregnancy Prevention Campaigns:
  • Raise awareness about the consequences of teen pregnancies using social media, community events, and educational programs.
  • Promote contraceptive use and responsible sexual behavior through community referrals and peer education.
  1. Involving Men and Boys:
  • Conduct community meetings to educate men and boys on their roles in preventing teen pregnancies and promoting SRHR among couples.
  1. Promoting Couples’ Family Planning:
  • Encourage men to support family planning decisions and provide male-friendly healthcare services.
  1. Empowering Adolescents and Women:
  • Initiate community desk and create safe spaces for sharing SRHR experiences and train women and girls in leadership and advocacy.
  1. Peer Education for Adolescents:
  • Train adolescents to educate their peers on SRHR, puberty, contraception, and healthy relationships.
  1. Addressing Harmful Practices:
  • Partner with community and religious leaders to challenge child marriages and teen pregnancies.

Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR)
We believe that when women are empowered, they uplift the well-being of their entire community, their countries, and the world.
